Thilo Pantring

For Thilo, a brand is much more than just a logo – it is the result of intensive research and the perfect interplay of typography, colors, imagery and well thought-out key visuals. He devotes himself to every detail with passion and precision to create brands that endure.

Thilo is a true child of the Ruhr area and a Cologne boy at the same time! As a native of Recklinghausen and the 5th employee in the Cologne office, he brings the perfect mix of Ruhrpott charm and Rhenish spirit to the team – we are delighted to have him with us!

Before starting at Schwarz+Matt Thilo worked in a brand agency in Cologne. There he progressed from junior designer to art director in record time – speaks for itself, doesn’t it? His successes to date include two self-directed projects with GDA awards and the new corporate design for DER Touristik.

Thilo acquired his knowledge during his bachelor’s degree in media design at the Rheinische Hochschule in Cologne and deepened it during his master’s degree in communication design at the HSD Düsseldorf. A real highlight was his semester abroad at HDK Valand in Gothenburg, where he discovered new facets of design and won an international award with his team: the “Good Interventions 2024” from the Parsons School of Design.

Thilo is also very active in his free time: he does all kinds of sports and also enjoys being in the kitchen, where he (mostly) prepares vegetarian delicacies. He also has a passion for the art of brewing and everything to do with graphic design – this man never gets bored!
